Is what my teenager is going through normal

anxiety, or something more?

The conversations that matter most are often the ones we never quite get to.

101 question cards designed to open up real dialogue between teenagers and the adults who love them.

Playful. Philosophical. Psychological.

Most families want more connection with their teenagers. But between the busyness of daily life, the one-word answers and the closed bedroom doors, meaningful conversation can feel harder and harder to find.

These cards change that.

Not with scripts or worksheets. Just 101 questions that invite your teenager to think, to share and to be genuinely curious about the people around them. And questions that invite you to do the same.

THE THREE TYPES OF CARDS

P

Playful

Light, fun and designed to get people talking without any pressure. Perfect for car journeys, dinner tables and any moment where you want to connect without it feeling like a Big Conversation.

Ph

Philosophical

Questions that go a little deeper. The kind that make you pause before you answer. These are the conversations teenagers often want to have but rarely get the invitation for.

Ps

Psychological

Gently rooted in the science of emotional wellbeing and self-understanding. These cards open up conversations about feelings, values, relationships and what actually matters, without ever feeling like therapy.

WHY THESE CARDS EXIST

A NOTE FROM DR ANOUK

I created these cards because one of the things I hear most often from parents is some version of: I feel like I am losing them. We used to talk. Now I do not know how to reach them.

And from teenagers, I hear: nobody ever asks me what I actually think.

Connection between parents and teenagers does not require grand gestures or perfect timing. It requires small, regular moments of genuine curiosity. A question that signals: I am interested in you. Not just in how you are doing at school or whether your homework is done. In you.

That is what these cards are for.

WHAT YOU GET

101 printable question cards across three categories: Playful, Philosophical and Psychological.

Delivered as an instant PDF download.

Print at home on A4 paper, cut out and keep them somewhere you will actually use them. On the kitchen table. In the car. In a pocket for a dog walk.

Only two rules:

Anyone can pass on a question if they do not feel like answering.

All answers should be received with curiosity rather than judgment.

THESE CARDS ARE FOR YOU IF

You want more meaningful conversations with your teenager but are not sure how to start them.

You feel like your teenager has stopped opening up and you want a low-pressure way back in.

You want something your whole family can use together that does not feel forced or clinical.

You are on a budget and looking for an affordable, practical starting point.

You have tried other approaches and want something lighter that does not require anyone to sit down and do work.

ALSO IN THE RESILIENCE ROOM

If the cards open up conversations about anxiety, difficult emotions or how your teenager is really doing, the Resilience Room has free resources and a therapist-developed course to help you and your teenager understand what is happening and take the next step.
